On Saturday and Sunday, a two-day health and wellness training session was successfully held in Haflong, Dima Hasao district. Organised by Keshav Smarak Niyas as part of the Arogya Mitra training programme. The program was attended by 16 male and female trainees from 13 villages in the district. The camp’s primary purpose was to provide in-depth education about prevalent diseases that affect the community, as well as preventive strategies to promote general health and wellness. Participants were also instructed to share their expertise with their local communities, particularly distant areas, in order to raise awareness and improve health outcomes.
During the program, participants learned about a variety of health-related issues such as immunization, mother and child care, nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, lifestyle disease prevention, and the effects of pollution on health. Mental and spiritual health were also addressed, with a focus on providing basic healthcare services. Each participant received a medical pack with first-aid items and necessary medications for common diseases. Many celebrities visited the camp, including Sewa Bharati district coordinator Lallan Sharma, organizing secretary Radha Krishnan, Kesava Smarak Niyas chief trustee Samendra Langathazasa, RSS secretary prant pramukh Nidhuban Paul, Kamali Medhi, and other guests of honor.
