Ariel India has launched a campaign to address the unequal division of domestic chores within households. The campaign aims to encourage men to #ShareTheLoad and work as a Team at Home as a HomeTeam. Since 2015, the percentage of men who believed household chores were solely a woman’s job has decreased from 79% to 25%. Ariel is driving the conversation forward to encourage men to accept the physical aspect of household chores and act as a team at home to share the mental load.
A panel of Bollywood icons, including Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Mukta Maheshwari, and Josy Paul, discussed the importance of genuine partnership and equal household chores at a campaign launch event. Anand Ahuja, Sonam Kapoor’s husband, exemplified true partnership by taking care of household responsibilities while attending the event, demonstrating shared responsibilities and teamwork within a relationship. This highlights the importance of balancing professional and domestic duties.
