Apollo Cancer Conclave 2024 launches innovations in Oncology, paves way for future cancer care

The 7th edition of the Apollo Cancer Conclave, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from November 8-10, attracted over 2,000 oncologists and 450 global speakers, spotlighting the latest advancements in cancer treatment. The conclave emphasized a shift towards precision oncology, with expert-led sessions on breast, gastrointestinal, gynaecologic, haematolymphoid, and other cancers, alongside discussions on AI, robotic surgeries, and molecular profiling.

India’s growing cancer burden, expected to rise from 1.41 million new cases in 2022 to 2.69 million by 2050, underlined the conclave’s focus on preventive strategies and the integration of innovative technologies. Industry leaders discussed breakthroughs like Robotic Nipple-Sparing Mastectomy and Proton Therapy, marking a new era in patient-centered care.

In Guwahati, the adoption of precision oncology practices and advanced cancer care technologies is expected to grow, driven by increased awareness and improved healthcare infrastructure.
