Assam CM announces a grand 12-day festival of development across the state

According to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, 12 lakh people will benefit from the state’s massive 12-day festival of development. This effort will include a number of welfare measures, such as providing scooties to girls, scholarships and bicycles to female students, waiving mother loan obligations, and financial aid to flood-affected families.

“With the settlement with the banks, the state government will waive the loan for women in Assam who have taken out loans from financial institutions up to Rs 50,000,” the Chief Minister told reporters. ‘No dues certificates’ would be issued by the banks to anyone who have taken out loans up to Rs 50,000 within the next 12 days.

The festival’s goal, the chief minister underlined, is to promote development and raise Assamese citizens’ standard of living. The state government is dedicated to meeting the needs of marginalized populations and making sure that these benefits are delivered effectively. This large-scale project has attracted a lot of public attention and demonstrates the government’s commitment to social welfare and holistic development.
