The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has issued a show-cause notice to Pankaj Saikia, Joint Secretary of APCC, for allegedly making inappropriate comments against former state Congress president Bhupen Kumar Borah. “It has come to the notice of President Assam PCC Gaurav Gogoi that you made inappropriate comments in the media on matters related to former PCC President and Chairman of Campaign Committee Bhupen Kumar Borah,” the notice, signed by Bipul Gogoi, APCC General Secretary (Organization), stated. “As directed, you are hereby served show cause notice as to why appropriate
disciplinary action should not be initiated against you for the above-mentioned violation of party discipline, and you are asked to explain within 24 hours,” the notice added.
