The Future Right Skills Network (FRSN), in collaboration with the Directorate of Employment and Training, Assam, successfully hosted the ITI Ecosystem Summit in Guwahati, aiming to equip 6,000 learners with job-ready, future-focused skills. The summit brought together industry experts, policymakers, and trainers to discuss the integration of sustainable practices and green skills into Assam’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), positioning the state’s youth to thrive in the rapidly changing job market.
As India’s economy shifts towards automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and green industries, the demand for a skilled workforce in renewable energy, digital technology, and green construction sectors is on the rise. FRSN, a collaborative initiative by Quest Alliance, Accenture, Cisco, J.P. Morgan, and SAP Labs India, is focusing on trainer development and aligning ITI curricula with emerging global trends to ensure the workforce is equipped for tomorrow’s challenges.
Guwahati is witnessing growing opportunities in green and tech-driven sectors, making it essential for the city’s workforce to possess future-ready skills. By integrating these skills into ITI programs, Assam’s youth will be better positioned to capitalize on these opportunities, securing a competitive edge in both local and global markets.
