Atul Bora is present during the Rongamati Cooperative Society’s Golden Jubilee Celebration

After a magnificent 50 years, the Rongamati Gaon Panchayat Cooperative Society Limited, situated in Badulipar, Golaghat district, has entered its Golden Jubilee year. From April 24 to April 27, a vibrant four-day celebration has been organized to commemorate the event. Phanidhar Gogoi, the president of the celebration committee and the cooperative society president, raised the Golden Jubilee flag on April 24, the opening day of the event.

Rajiv Gogoi, the retired principal of Khumtai Higher Secondary School, officially opened a memorial built by Tapan Gogoi, Phanidhar Gogoi, and their family in honor of the late Lokeshwar Gogoi, Burhagao’s first police officer, and his wife Sewali Gogoi as part of the Jubilee celebration. Teacher Dipanka Baruah, Diman Gogoi, and social worker Sarbeswar Duara planted saplings. Jagat Chandra Kalita, the president of the Assam Gana Parishad in the Bokakhat district, officially opened the cooperative society’s recently completed front building.

Atul Bora, the MLA of Bokakhat constituency and senior Cabinet Minister in the Assam Government, hoisted the Bohagi festival flag at Badulipar Senior Secondary School. He extended Bohag Bihu greetings and encouraged farmers to cultivate successive crops to become self-reliant. Bora proudly stated that the constituency welcomed 181 pairs of ‘husori’ this year.
