Bingo! Tedhe Medhe launches ‘Rockanjali’ to celebrate 50 years of Bengali rock

Bingo! Tedhe Medhe, the popular snack brand from ITC, has launched its Pujo special song ‘Rockanjali,’ paying tribute to 50 years of Bengali rock music. The star-studded composition features renowned musicians Siddhartha Sankar Roy (Siddhu) & Avijit Burman (Pota) from Cactus, Gaurab Chatterjee (Gabu) from Lakkhichara, and Anindya Chatterjee from Chandrabindoo. The initiative also includes the ‘Rockanjali’ contest, providing young talent in Kolkata with a platform to perform during Durga Puja at major city pandals.

In line with its strategic youth engagement, Bingo! Tedhe Medhe has rolled out a ‘Concert on Wheels’ Pujo tour, visiting six famous pandals over six days, showcasing the next generation of Bengali rock stars. With over 120 contestants, the contest offers an unparalleled opportunity for budding musicians.

Guwahati, known for its strong youth demographic, is expected to embrace this innovative initiative. With increasing demand for culturally engaging experiences, the city’s youth could find inspiration in the Bengali rock tribute, potentially driving similar musical events during its own festivals.
