BSA Motorcycles marked its entry into the North-East Indian market by delivering the first BSA Gold Star 650 to Arunachal Pradesh MLA Oken Tayeng. Launched in India on August 15, 2024, the Gold Star 650 combines classic British craftsmanship with modern engineering. Tayeng, known for his commitment to infrastructure and adventure tourism in Arunachal, praised the motorcycle for its powerful engine and iconic design, making it ideal for the region’s rugged terrain.
The BSA Gold Star 650 features India’s largest single-cylinder engine, producing 45.6 PS of power and 55 Nm of torque. It boasts Brembo brakes, dual-channel ABS, and Pirelli tyres, offering top-notch performance. Ashish Singh Joshi, Director of BSA Company, emphasized the bike’s significance in blending heritage with India’s motorcycling culture.
The launch of the Gold Star 650 is expected to drive significant interest in Guwahati’s premium bike market. With adventure biking gaining popularity in the region, Guwahati stands as a critical hub for BSA, offering potential growth in sales as consumers seek high-performance motorcycles for long-distance rides.
