Coca-Cola India partners with Anju Bobby Sports Foundation to provide essential amenities to women athletes

In line with its commitment to sports, Coca-Cola India through its Foundation, is supporting the country’s athletes with essential amenities and training equipment as part of its three-year partnership withthe Anju Bobby Sports Foundation. The Foundation, led by Olympic champion Anju Bobby George, is fostering the next generation of women athletes, including Shaili Singh, in line with Coca-Cola India’s #SheTheDifference campaign.

The initiative aims to celebrate, uplift, and support women throughout the value chain, empowering women athletes to bring about positive change in sports and gender equality.Coca-Cola India’s Foundation has improved the representation of Indian women athletes in the Olympics by transforming shipping containers into physiotherapy rooms, storage facilities, pantry, and restrooms.

The company also provided top-tier gym equipment and a practice ground with rainwater collection tanks. Coca-Cola also helped with the academy’s lease rent for three years, ensuring a stable operational foundation. A PWC report highlights the remarkable shift in the gender balance at the Tokyo Olympics, with 44% of Indian participants being women.
