Coca-Cola India has announced a landmark collaboration with Hockey India, marking its entry into the realm of sports sponsorship with a focus on women’s hockey. Under the ambit of Coca-Cola India’s #SheTheDifference campaign, this strategic alliance aims to revolutionize the landscape of women’s hockey in the country. Anandana, The Coca-Cola India Foundation, spearheads this pioneering initiative, launching the inaugural National Women’s Hockey League 2024. Commencing on April 30th and concluding on May 9th in Ranchi, Jharkhand, this domestic league promises an electrifying display of talent and skill.
The league showcases teams that distinguished themselves in the recently concluded 14th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2024 held in Pune. Representing states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and others, these athletes epitomize the spirit of Indian women’s hockey. Aligned with Coca-Cola India’s commitment to sports and gender equality, this three-year partnership underscores its pivotal role in fostering the growth of women’s hockey. The collaboration encompasses crucial aspects such as specialized coaching, provision of training equipment, nutritional support, and the organization of camps and tournaments to nurture talent.
Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey hailed the partnership as a milestone, emphasizing its potential to elevate the status of women’s hockey both nationally and internationally.
