Courtyard by Marriott Shillong marked the beginning of the holiday season with its Second Edition of the Cake Mixing and Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 8, 2024. The event brought together dignitaries, loyal patrons, and community members, setting a festive tone with a blend of tradition and innovation. The Cake Mixing Ceremony symbolized unity, with participants enthusiastically preparing the base for Christmas cakes. This was followed by the Poolside Tree Lighting Ceremony, where carol singing and a lively countdown illuminated the festive tree, spreading warmth and cheer. Looking at Guwahati, the event highlights the strategic importance of festive hospitality in boosting tourism and economic activities. The evening featured the launch of the Shillong Baking Company’s new menu, offering innovative dishes like Avoc-Broc Vegan Salad and Pulled Barbeque Chicken Calzone, complemented by handcrafted Christmas hampers.
