By putting students’ comfort first and using technology to release undergraduate and graduate exam results at a never-before-seen speed, Gauhati University has raised the bar for academic efficiency. The institution has made sure that thousands of students receive their results on time by implementing administrative reforms and digital transformation. Controller of Examinations, Prof Kandarpa Kumar Sarma, praised digital systems for streamlining the process, ensuring results are declared within expected timelines, thanks to faculty, examiners, and administrative staff. The B.Com 6th semester had a pass rate of 91.16%, followed by B.A. with 90.54% and B.Sc. with 87.25%, with results declared in 24-32 days. Postgraduate departments also showed similar efficiency, with fourth-semester results in under two weeks.
In response to student complaints, Gauhati University implemented an automated revaluation system that gives students a window of 15 days following results to request a revaluation through an internet link. The connection then immediately deactivates to guarantee a process that cannot be tampered with. Students can quickly get answers to their exam-related questions at the GUCDOE building’s grievance redressal cell, which is open daily from 2 to 5 PM and demonstrates the university’s dedication to accessibility and equity. The administration has confirmed that law programme results will be declared within two months, marking a significant step towards a more efficient, student-centric future at Gauhati University, which is modernizing its academic governance and positioning itself as one of India’s most trusted institutions.
