Domestic Gold Price Hits Record After Rs 10,400 Single-Day Jump

Gold prices in the domestic market surged sharply on Wednesday, rising by Rs 10,400 per tola in a single day to touch a new all-time high, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. With the steep increase, the price of fine gold reached Rs 295,100 per tola, up from Rs 284,700 per tola on Tuesday, moving closer to the Rs 300,000 per tola mark.
Silver prices also registered a fresh record. The precious metal gained Rs 40 per tola to trade at Rs 5,920 per tola on Wednesday, compared to Rs 5,880 per tola the previous day, the federation said.
Traders attributed the sharp rise in local prices to a continued increase in international gold and silver rates. Precious metals have been on a strong upward trend in recent days in the Nepali market, driven by global price movements and sustained investor demand.
