The Guwahati Zonal Office of Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Priyanshu Boiragi, proprietor of Guwahati’s Purbashree Printing House, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with a Rs 118-crore printing scam.The case involves fraudulent award of contracts worth Rs 118 crore between 2013 and 2016 by Assam Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board (ABOCWWB),ED also conducted search operations on the premises of the accused and seized various incriminating evidences, electronic devices and one Audi car.The accused was produced before the Special Court (PMLA), Guwahati, which has remanded him in ED custody for five days.
