Femina, one of India’s leading women’s lifestyle brands, hosted the Femina GameChangers Northeast 2026 at Vivanta, Guwahati, recognising women leaders who have made significant contributions across industries and community initiatives in Northeast India. The platform honoured individuals who are driving impact through entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, arts, public service and social advocacy.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and was attended by distinguished guests including eminent singer Manisha Hazarika, social activist Shri Nabam Vivek, Assam Gaurav awardee Meenakshi Das, Drugs India founder Shri Dzen Phukan, educationist P.S. Reddy, social activist Amaresh Roy, Dr Saumen Bharatiya, Patron-in-Chief of Byatikram Group, and Pradeep Nath, GM–PP, SIDBI.
More than 30 awards were presented across diverse categories reflecting the region’s growing leadership across sectors. The awardees included Nupur Heda Patil, Priyanka Das, Seema Sharma, Soheli Seal Sarkar, Danisha Chakraborty, Dr Anindita Priyadarshini Das, Apong Gyadi Taniang, Nabam Sisi Welly, Barsha Phukan, Kashmiri Nath, Dr Meenakshi Saikia, Disha Baruah, Prof Dr Sangeeta Tripathi, Samim Akhtara Ali, Dr Jyotismita Pathak, Dr Susmita Roy Banerjee, Aditi Kejriwal, Dr Seema Kashyap, Arpana Kalita, Aruna Kalita, Zarina Laskar, Dr Juliee Hazarika, Chinu Kishore, Smitakshi B Goswami, Dr Archana Barman, Dr Reema Das Mallik, Payal Agarwal Jain, Anu Mandal, Dr Joram Yalam Nabam, Dr Rosie Kalita and Kalpana Kalita.
The awards were presented by Padmashree Nuruddin Ahmed, actor Madhurima Chaudhury, Indrani Laskar, ACS and Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam’s Health & Family Welfare Department, and eminent writer Manikuntala Bhattacharya. Femina Editor-in-Chief Ambika Muttoo said the GameChangers platform aims to bring greater visibility to inspiring stories from the Northeast and celebrate leaders who are building enterprises, strengthening communities and inspiring future generations.
