Flipkart is accelerating Assam’s digital transformation by empowering local businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs. Participating in the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment & Infrastructure Summit 2025, the e-commerce giant reiterated its commitment to expanding market access, enhancing logistics, and fostering economic inclusion.
Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group, emphasized the company’s role in Assam’s growth. “With strong entrepreneurial foundations and the government’s push for digital inclusion under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam presents immense opportunities. Flipkart is committed to equipping local businesses with technology and infrastructure to scale their ventures,” he said.
Flipkart supports over 1 lakh sellers from Assam, with top-selling categories including women’s ethnic wear, grooming products, and home furnishings. The state has seen a 100% year-on-year growth in seller participation, with key e-commerce hubs in Guwahati, Jorhat, Goalpara, and Sivasagar.
