Flipkart’s latest #FlipTrends report for H1 2024 uncovers intriguing shopping patterns among its 500 million+ users, highlighting a robust demand for technology and a resurgence of nostalgic products. The report reveals that smartwatches and TWS earphones lead the wearable tech sector, while skincare and makeup products enjoy significant popularity.

Consumers are increasingly drawn to technology, with smartwatches and advanced gadgets seeing heightened interest. Simultaneously, nostalgic items such as pickles and chutneys have surged, showing a 90% year-on-year growth. Fashion trends reveal a blend of modern vacation wear and retro-inspired styles.

In Medinipur, shoppers are showing a marked preference for traditional clothing, particularly sarees, which aligns with the region’s rich cultural heritage. The local market also reflects a growing inclination towards premium mobile protection accessories, mirroring broader Tier 3+ trends.The report also highlights increased demand for monsoon essentials like umbrellas and raincoats, as well as festive items. Ravi Vijayaraghavan, Senior Vice President at Flipkart, emphasized, “Our #FlipTrends report underscores evolving consumer preferences and our commitment to meeting diverse needs.”
