Godrej Agrovet Limited has launched the Pride Hog range, a scientifically developed pig feed designed to enhance pig health, immunity, and growth. The range, including Starter, Grower, and Finisher variants, offers tailored nutrition at each stage of a pig’s lifecycle, ensuring improved farm productivity.
The company also organized a roundtable discussion in Guwahati, bringing together industry experts to address the growing concern of African Swine Fever (ASF) and discuss best practices for pig farm management. Experts like Dr. Purnananda Konwar from Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation Ltd and Capt. (Dr.) A.Y. Rajendra, CEO of Godrej Agrovet’s Animal Feed Business, emphasized the need for preventive measures and modernized farming practices.
Balram Singh Yadav, Managing Director of Godrej Agrovet, highlighted the significance of pig farming in the North East, noting that nearly half of India’s pig population resides in the region. He stated, “Pride Hog is a research-backed feed solution that will not only boost immunity and health but also contribute to farmer profitability.” The event also shed light on ASF’s impact on the region, which has faced outbreaks since 2020, underscoring the importance of high-quality feed to strengthen pig resilience. In Guwahati, the Pride Hog feed is expected to benefit local pig farmers, many of whom face challenges related to ASF and inadequate nutritional solutions. The market in the region is growing, with increasing demand for advanced livestock solutions, making this launch a significant step toward improving both pig health and farm productivity in the area.
