Godrej Agrovet launches revolutionary Samadhan Centre in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu

Godrej Agrovet Limited’s Oil Palm Plantation business has unveiled its pioneering Samadhan Centre in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, signaling a transformative initiative for oil palm farmers. This one-stop solution hub aims to empower farmers with comprehensive support, including knowledge, tools, services, and solutions tailored to enhance productivity and yield.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by Dr. T.R.B. Rajaa, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Investment Promotion & Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, Sougata Niyogi, CEO of Oil Palm Business at Godrej Agrovet Limited, and Rakesh Swami, Group President Corporate Affairs, Godrej Industries Group, highlighted the strategic partnership’s potential to drive agricultural growth in Tamil Nadu’s Delta region. Dr. T.R.B. Rajaa commended the collaboration, emphasizing its alignment with the state government’s vision under Honourable Chief Minister Thiru. MK Stalin. He praised the initiative for its role in fostering sustainable agricultural practices and boosting farmer incomes.

Godrej Agrovet aims to expand oil palm plantations by an additional 60,000 hectares by 2027, bolstered by the Samadhan Centre network, which provides specialized guidance and leverages advanced agricultural techniques. Balram Singh Yadav, Managing Director of Godrej Agrovet Limited, underscored the centre’s role in facilitating access to developmental finance and government schemes.Rakesh Swami highlighted Godrej Industries Group’s commitment to sustainability and growth in Tamil Nadu, noting plans to establish 50 Samadhan Centres by 2027. The launch in Thanjavur follows successful centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.The expansion into Tamil Nadu underscores Godrej Agrovet’s strategic commitment to tapping into regional agricultural potential, reflecting positively on market sentiments in Guwahati and beyond.
