Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited has returned to Guwahati for the second consecutive year, hosting the ‘Chai-Pakoda’ Ride as part of its partnership with India Bike Week (IBW) 2024. Following last year’s success, this iconic event saw over 100 bikers gathering at the Assam Public Service Commission Office, embarking on a scenic 32-kilometer journey to PRP Valley, Chandrapur.

Safety was paramount, with participants attending a ‘safety riding’ session, and Gulf Oil providing fluorescent safety jackets. The event concluded with a spirited push-up and burpee challenge, fostering community engagement among biking enthusiasts.

Ravi Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of Gulf Oil, highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “These rides encapsulate the spirit of India’s motorcycling community—one rooted in adventure and brotherhood.”The event positively impacted Guwahati’s local economy, as nearby vendors reported increased sales and foot traffic from riders and their families exploring the area. The blending of biking culture with local flavors, particularly chai and pakodas, not only enriches the riders’ experience but also strengthens community ties, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Guwahati.
