Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has articulated the need for a BJP-led administration across Tripura, Assam, and West Bengal to enhance efforts in combating illegal infiltration from Bangladesh. He noted that while Tripura and Assam have experienced significant development under BJP governance, West Bengal’s lack of a similar government has impeded coordinated actions against such infiltrations. Sarma emphasized that West Bengal has become a weak link in regional security and border management, calling for the establishment of a BJP government there to leverage its strong support base. He argued that an aligned government in all three states would enable a more effective and decisive strategy to address illegal immigration issues, highlighting the increasing political emphasis on border security and migration concerns in eastern and northeastern India.
