The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) won five gold and two silver medals in the Men’s and Women’s Cadet categories on Day 2 of the ongoing AITWPF 12th National Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Championship 2024 in Dehradun. Mulukhro Nakro (66 kg), Kevilekho Peki (59 kg), and Nubasa Rhakho (62 kg) won gold medals in the men’s cadet division, while Mulübi Dzüdo (59 kg) took silver.
In the women’s cadet division, Külüngolü Nakro (42 kg) and Khrielhounuo Thevo (+60 kg) won gold, while Vetavolu Puyo-o (+60 kg) finished second. The senior category matches for both men and women will take place in the coming days, culminating on October 6. The NWA has encouraged the Naga community to continue supporting and praying for the team’s success.
