The 14th Mini National Roll Ball Championship, which took place at the Rudra Singha Roll Ball Ground in Guwahati from January 18 to 21, saw the Assam girls’ team win. In the meantime, the boys’ team won the tournament’s silver medal. The Assam girls’ team won the league games against Haryana 4-1, Jharkhand 3-2, Uttar Pradesh 3-0, and Nagaland 9-0. They defeated Maharashtra 4-2 in the semifinals and went to the quarterfinals by defeating Andhra Pradesh 10-0. They won the title after dominating Rajasthan with a 10–2 victory in the final. Maharashtra and Rajasthan came in third and second, respectively.
The boys’ team won the league stage over Madhya Pradesh (9-0), Manipur (5-0), Arunachal Pradesh (9-0), Maharashtra (5-3) and Haryana (4-1). They won 7-2 over Tamil Nadu in the semifinals and 6-3 over Uttar Pradesh in the quarterfinals. But in the final, the boys fell short against Haryana by a score of 2-1. In the meantime, earlier in November, the Assam girls’ team won the 3rd East Zone National Mini Roll Ball Championship, which was held in Kolkata. Silver was won by the boys’ team. Assam and Odisha played the final match in the girls’ division. The game was dominated by Assam, who won 7-1 with ease. Assam defeated West Bengal (7-0), Bihar (7-2) and Odisha (3-1) earlier in the league stage.
