India’s girls won by 10 wickets by showing their strength with bat and ball

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli congratulated the Indian women’s team standing at the ground in Chennai after India won the T20 World Cup by defeating South Africa. Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana said that they watched the entire Indian final. Two days after India won the World Cup, the Indian women lost to South Africa in the Test. They won by 10 wickets, showing power with the bat and ball.

India declared 603 runs for six wickets in the first innings in Chennai. Shefali Verma and Mandhana put on a partnership of 292 runs to open. They were playing with the South African bowlers. Mandhana scored 149 runs. Shefali scored a double hundred. India’s women cricketer scored the fastest Test double hundred in the history of women’s cricket. Shefali was dismissed for 205 runs.

Half-centuries were scored by Jemima Rodriguez, Harmanpreet, and Richa Ghosh. Jemaima was dismissed for 55 runs. Skipper Harman scored 69 runs. Richa was on his way to a century. Bengali Kanya got out after 86 runs. India declared after she got out.

South Africa were all out for 266 in the first inning. Sune Luce scored 65, and Marijan Cup scored 74 runs. The rest couldn’t score that much. Sneh Rana catches the eye with the ball. This Indian right-arm spinner took eight wickets. Another spinner, Deepti Sharma, took the remaining two wickets.

Despite losing the innings, South Africa could not save the loss. India needed 37 runs in the second inning to win. India did it in 9.2 overs. Mandhana did not come to open the second inning. Shefali and Shubha Satish lead the team. Shefali remained unbeaten on 24 and Shubha on 13.

India followed up on South Africa. They fought in the second inning. Captain Laura Woolvert scored 122, and Luce scored 109. Nadine D’Clark scored 61 runs. South Africa was all out for 373 runs. Sneh, Deepti, and Rajeshwari Gaikwad took two wickets each for India. Pooja Vastrakar, Shefali, and Harmanpreet got one wicket each.
