Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis unveiled the Marathi version of Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) at the Vishwa Marathi Sammelan 2025, held at Fergusson College in Pune. The platform, launched with the support of Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Eknath Shinde and Shri Ajit Pawar, aims to make skilling opportunities more accessible to the state’s youth by offering content in Marathi, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
SIDH provides over 7,000 courses in sectors like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Drone Technology. It has already seen tremendous success nationwide, with Maharashtra among the top five states in terms of registrations and user traffic. Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, highlighted the platform’s role in bridging skill gaps and creating job-ready youth, with more than 1.26 crore registrations across India.
In Guwahati, there is a growing demand for digital skilling platforms, especially in fields like IT and electronics. Local professionals and students are increasingly turning to online courses to enhance their skills and remain competitive in emerging sectors. The introduction of SIDH’s Marathi version is expected to inspire similar digital initiatives in the northeastern market, further propelling regional growth in the tech and industrial sectors.
