Mahindra’s February sales rise 18% to 97,177 units; SUV segment leads with 60,018 domestic sales

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited on March 1 reported total auto sales of 97,177 units in February 2026, marking an 18% year-on-year growth including exports. In the Utility Vehicles (UV) segment, the company sold 60,018 units in the domestic market, up 19% from 50,420 units a year ago. Overall UV sales, including exports, stood at 60,685 units. Passenger vehicle sales mirrored UV numbers at 60,018 units for the month, taking year-to-date (YTD) February FY26 sales to 600,004 units, up 19%.

Domestic commercial vehicle sales stood at 24,585 units, registering a 10% rise. In the LCV <2T category, sales declined 4% to 3,169 units, while LCV 2T–3.5T grew 12% to 21,416 units. Three-wheelers, including electric models, surged 44% to 9,190 units. Total exports rose 11% to 3,384 units, while YTD exports increased 21% to 37,022 units.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, said, “February saw SUV sales of 60,018 units, a growth of 19% reflecting robust customer demand across the portfolio.” In Guwahati, dealers indicated strong traction for Mahindra’s SUVs and Bolero Maxx PUP range, supported by rising infrastructure projects and rural demand across Assam and the Northeast. Retailers noted growing interest in electric three-wheelers for last-mile mobility.
