Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Jayant Chaudhary, conducted a rigorous review of the ministry’s ongoing schemes and divisions today, aiming to streamline operations and boost effectiveness in skill development initiatives nationwide.
Beginning with an inclusive gesture, Minister Chaudhary joined ministry employees for a meal at the office canteen, engaging in candid conversations to understand frontline challenges and concerns. This personal touch set the tone for a day focused on enhancing strategic approaches and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. During discussions with senior officials and industry leaders, the Minister underscored the crucial role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth, particularly through targeted programs for diverse groups such as ex-servicemen. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts across ministries and states to scale up skill development programs effectively.
Highlighting key priorities, Minister Chaudhary outlined plans to strengthen Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), expand the reach of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and operationalize Indian Institutes of Skills (IIS) and Skill India International Centres. He stressed the importance of inclusive skill training, especially in marginalized communities and new-age market skills.
