Network18, in partnership with Ola Electric, concluded the first edition of the ‘Green Bharat’ conclave, aimed at positioning India as a global leader in electric mobility. The event brought together policymakers, manufacturers, and sustainability experts to chart a unified roadmap for EV adoption.
Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal headlined the conclave, advocating for policies like ‘One Nation, One EV Policy.’ Shri Gadkari expressed confidence in India’s future as a manufacturing hub, stating, “With Prime Minister NarendraModi’s vision and young innovators driving progress, India will emerge as the largest EV manufacturing hub within five years.” Shri Piyush Goyal highlighted transformative programs such as FAME I and II, adding, “India’s EV transition holds unmatched opportunities to lead the global market while ensuring sustainability.”
Avinash Kaul, CEO of Network18, underscored the event’s significance, stating, “Green Bharat is a collaborative effort to accelerate EV adoption, overcome challenges, and shape India’s sustainable mobility ecosystem.” In Guwahati, the conclave offers critical insights for the region’s EV adoption. As a major commercial center in the Northeast, Guwahati stands to benefit from reduced fuel costs and improved air quality. With increasing infrastructure projects and EV interest, the city is poised to align with India’s clean energy goals.
