Nissan boosts customer service with advanced training centre in Chennai

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has launched its first National Training Centre, the Nissan Academy, in Chennai. This 10,500-square-foot facility at the Alliance JV plant is set to upskill over 1,000 dealership and service technicians annually, enhancing after-sales service quality nationwide. The initiative underscores Nissan’s commitment to customer experience and operational excellence.

The state-of-the-art Nissan Academy features a cutting-edge mechanical workshop for hands-on training in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and aggregate overhauling, alongside a modern body shop equipped with advanced tools for comprehensive repair techniques. Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President of the AMIEO Region and President of Nissan India Operations, inaugurated the academy, emphasizing its role in reinforcing Nissan’s service network. “This facility reflects our dedication to delivering unmatched service quality and customer satisfaction across India,” Torres stated.

In Guwahati, the training centre’s impact is anticipated to enhance customer trust and loyalty. With skilled technicians addressing diverse service needs, Nissan aims to strengthen its presence in the competitive northeastern market, particularly in Guwahati’s fast-evolving automotive sector. Nissan’s $1.8 billion investment in India, in partnership with Renault, has facilitated over 70,000 employment opportunities. Coupled with recent launches like the New Nissan Magnite, the Nissan Academy reinforces the company’s ‘One Car, One World’ philosophy and long-term vision for the Indian market.
