Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has reported its highest consolidated annual sales since FY2017-18, with over 99,000 units sold in FY2024-25, marking a 35% year-on-year growth. The surge was powered by the success of the New Nissan Magnite B-SUV in both domestic and export markets.
Domestic sales stood at 28,000+ units, while exports hit a historic high of 71,000+ units, expanding from 20 to 65+ international markets under Nissan’s “One Car, One World” philosophy. The Magnite, launched in October 2024, crossed 150,000 cumulative units and 50,000 export units, with strong momentum in left-hand-drive (LHD) markets like Saudi Arabia. Nissan reaffirmed its long-term India strategy by announcing an all-new 7-seater B-MPV for FY25 and a 5-seater C-SUV for FY26, even as it offloaded its Chennai JV plant stake to its Alliance partner to enhance agility and profitability.
Assam, local dealerships have witnessed a rise in customer interest for the Magnite’s latest model, especially after its design refresh and E20 fuel compliance. Showroom managers noted growing enthusiasm despite the upcoming 3% price hike from April 2025, driven by Magnite’s value proposition and expanding brand appeal. The Chennai-built Magnite continues to anchor Nissan’s turnaround and growth story in India and abroad.
