Nissan Motor India has strengthened its commitment to sustainable mobility by making the New Nissan Magnite BR10 (Naturally Aspirated Engine) fully E20 compliant. This update aligns with India’s shift towards eco-friendly fuels, with both powertrain options, including the 1.0L HR10 turbocharged petrol engine, now E20-compatible.
The company has also hit a major export milestone, with 50,000 units of the Magnite shipped since its inception. The introduction of the Left-Hand Drive (LHD) variant has significantly boosted global reach, with shipments to Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific. In February 2025, Nissan reported wholesale dispatches of 8,567 units, comprising 6,239 exports and 2,328 domestic sales, marking a 97% year-on-year export growth. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, stated, “The New Nissan Magnite’s global success underscores our focus on quality, innovation, and performance. Its E20 compliance aligns with our vision for future-ready mobility solutions.”
In Guwahati, the Magnite has gained traction due to its competitive pricing, fuel efficiency, and premium features. With Nissan expanding its dealership network, the SUV is expected to see rising demand in Assam’s growing automotive market. Currently available in over 65 countries, the Nissan Magnite continues to strengthen India’s position as a key export hub in the global automotive industry.
