Jalukbari in Guwahati has been officially designated as a no-vending and no-parking zone. This directive came into effect on January 7 and will be applicable to both the areas below and above the Jalukbari flyover. The new regulations, enforced with immediate effect, prohibit the stopping of commercial vehicles in the specified zones.
This measure is part of a broader initiative to improve the city’s infrastructure and ensure smoother traffic flow. Talking to GPlus, Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania said, “We are conducting surveys in other areas to explore the feasibility of implementing this initiative.”
