The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) have announced a strategic alliance. The partnership, sealed through a memorandum of understanding signed by Mr. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO and MD of NSDC, and Mr. Sangheon Lee, Director of Employment Policy at ILO, marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of talent development strategies. At its core lies the adoption of the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), a digital platform poised to streamline skill development initiatives, maximizing efficiency, accessibility, and global impact.
Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, hailed the partnership’s potential to digitize systems and processes, amplifying skill development’s global reach. Leveraging public-private partnerships and knowledge exchange, the collaboration seeks to foster micro-credentials and drive impactful change in the dynamic job market.Ved Mani Tiwari emphasized the partnership’s role in aligning Indian qualifications with global standards, opening doors for Indian youth in the international workforce.
