NSDC, CoLLearn and DA One Sports launch cricket coach skilling program

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), in partnership with ed-tech platform CoLLearn and Shikhar Dhawan’s DA One Sports, has launched the Cricket Coach Education Programme to upskill coaches across India. The initiative aims to elevate coaching standards and meet the growing demand for skilled trainers in the sports industry.

Under this collaboration, NSDC will facilitate awareness workshops and provide skill loans, CoLLearn will organize classes and placement support, while DA One Sports will handle student assessments and on-field training. The program covers modern coaching techniques, player analytics, and injury prevention strategies to enhance player performance and team dynamics.

With cricket gaining popularity in Assam and the Northeast, Guwahati is poised to benefit from this initiative. Local cricket academies and training centers can leverage the program to hire certified coaches, improving grassroots development and creating new opportunities for aspiring professionals in the region. CoLLearn’s Srishty Jain called the initiative a “game-changer”, while Shikhar Dhawan emphasized its role in shaping future cricketing talent. The program also offers career development support, ensuring trained coaches are well-prepared to thrive in India’s expanding sports ecosystem.
