NSDC International forges partnerships for cross-border skills in Germany

NSDC International, a subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), is advancing global workforce development by forging strategic skill partnerships during its recent delegation visit to Germany. The delegation participated in the OAV Conference in Hamburg, where representatives from countries like India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Indonesia gathered to discuss cross-border skill development.

NSDC International emphasized the importance of aligning skill training with industry needs to ensure employability in rapidly evolving job markets. CEO Shri Alok Kumar stated, “Our partnerships with German industries are key in bridging skill gaps and empowering Indian talent for international careers.” The delegation engaged in key roundtable discussions with German employers and training providers, focusing on enhancing the employability of Indian youth in sectors such as engineering, healthcare, and technology.

The delegation also visited a leading railway infrastructure academy in Germany, learning from their hands-on training models to address sector-specific workforce shortages, with over 98,000 vacancies in Germany’s railway sector alone. In Guwahati, these global collaborations hold immense potential for local youth. As industries in Assam expand, especially in technology and infrastructure, initiatives like these will provide a much-needed boost to local skilling programs, empowering youth with the expertise to thrive in both domestic and international markets.
