NSE, IFC and Climate Bonds initiative join forces to advance green finance in India

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has teamed up with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) to propel the green finance agenda forward in India.

The recently concluded series of workshops, titled ‘Deep Dive in Green, Social, and Sustainability (GSS) Bonds Issuance Process,’ held in Mumbai and New Delhi, served as a pivotal platform for industry leaders and policymakers to delve into the intricacies of sustainable finance.

Over the two-day workshops, attendees from various sectors engaged in expert-led sessions, gaining insights into the issuance process of GSS bonds and their role in financing green infrastructure. Notable figures such as Shri K Rajaraman, Chairperson of IFSCA, and Smt. Shalini Agrawal, IAS, Municipal Commissioner of Surat, emphasized the transformative potential of GSS instruments in driving sustainable urban development.
