Siliguri, July 05: In a significant operation, the Pradhan Nagar Police foiled a major robbery attempt planned by a gang in an abandoned building in Dagapur. Francis Chrispota (31) from Goerkata, Abhishek Onrao (19) from Birpara, Gautam Mahato (30) from Alipurduar, Amit Singh (19) resident of Siliguri and Suresh Khati (27) from Kurseong were arrested in this incident.
During the raid, officials recovered a pistol, two live ammunitions and several sharp weapons including a dagger. On Friday, the accused criminals were produced in Siliguri court, while further investigation is going on.
