‘Project Safe Stay’ is a new initiative in Dibrugarh to update lodging registration

“Project Safe Stay,” a digital project that would revolutionize the registration and verification process for lodging providers in the area, has been formally launched by the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation. This project, which was officially launched from a dedicated platform, aims to streamline licensing processes while adhering to stringent safety and hygienic standards in all types of housing. Mayor Saikat Patra highlighted the initiative’s objective of creating a safe environment for lodging providers and visitors during the inaugural event on Sunday.

It will cover all of the different types of lodging, including hostels, paying guest facilities, and homestays. A property owner can now register, obtain trade licenses, and demonstrate municipal safety compliances all through the portal in a single window. The mayor claims that the prior registration process was always exceedingly time-consuming and laborious. “Through Project Safe Stay, we streamlined these procedures for easier legitimation for providers while providing high standards of service,” he stated.

The DMC has set up a special helpline with qualified professionals to offer users technical support in order to promote the effort. A standardized rating system would be an additional measure. In this manner, visitors would be aware of what to anticipate in terms of security protocols, hygienic standards, and overall service excellence. Ujjal Phukon, the deputy mayor of Dibrugarh, stated that the goal is to make the hospitality industry more reputable and professional.
