Renault India’s February Sales Soar 31% YoY, Duster Launch Fuels Growth

Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Renault Group, reported a robust 31% year-on-year jump in wholesale sales at 3,495 units in February 2026, compared to 2,676 units in the same month last year. The company sustained its upward trajectory in the first two months of 2026, registering a strong 32% cumulative growth over the corresponding period of 2025.

Building on January’s performance, Renault once again outpaced overall industry growth. The refreshed Kiger and Triber line-up continued to anchor volumes, with the new Triber leading the momentum by posting an impressive 57% YoY growth in February. The company said improved brand favourability since Q3 CY2025 has underpinned its turnaround, recording 9% YoY growth in Q3 CY25, 27% in Q4 CY25, and 32% in the first two months of 2026.

The announcement of the Renault Duster’s return to India has further strengthened consumer sentiment, reflected in rising dealership footfalls across markets.

In Guwahati, Renault dealers indicated steady traction for the Triber and Kiger amid growing demand for affordable and practical SUVs. Market analysts believe the Duster’s comeback could significantly enhance Renault’s competitive edge in the Northeast, where SUV preference continues to expand steadily.
