Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026: Galaxy S26 Series Set to Debut Amid AI Push

The countdown has begun for Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, where the company is expected to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphones—the Galaxy S26 series—along with new Galaxy Buds.
The event is being held in San Francisco, California, and will be livestreamed globally via Samsung’s official YouTube channel and website at 11:30 pm IST on February 25.

Samsung is widely expected to introduce three smartphones: the standard Samsung Galaxy S26, Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, and the premium Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The Galaxy S lineup traditionally sets the tone for Android flagship devices each year, often introducing design refinements and advanced AI capabilities that influence the broader smartphone market.
This year’s launch carries added significance. In its official invite, Samsung said the new devices mark “a new phase in the era of AI,” promising more personalized and adaptive intelligence integrated seamlessly into everyday use.

Leaks suggest that the S26 series may feature a refreshed camera layout, possibly shifting from individually aligned lenses to an elliptical camera module design. However, the overall aesthetic is expected to remain similar to its predecessor.
On the performance front, the non-Ultra variants are rumored to run on Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 chipset, while the Ultra model may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, depending on the region. These details remain unconfirmed until the official keynote.
Battery technology is reportedly staying with lithium-ion cells, unlike some Chinese brands adopting silicon-carbon batteries. This could mean only marginal changes in battery capacity.

Alongside the smartphones, Samsung is likely to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
The Buds 4 Pro are rumored to introduce advanced gesture controls, including head-tracking features for answering calls or managing notifications. Reports also suggest pinch-based controls on the earbuds’ stems and enhanced device-finding capabilities, though these features await confirmation.

The 2026 Unpacked event comes at a time of rising memory chip prices, driven by global demand for AI data centers. These supply pressures could impact manufacturing costs for smartphones and other electronics.
With competitors raising the bar in the premium segment, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series will be closely watched to see how it balances innovation, AI integration, and pricing in an increasingly competitive market.
