Skill India Pavilion drives innovation and impact at Startup Mahakumbh 2025

The Skill India Pavilion at Startup Mahakumbh 2025 emerged as a powerful catalyst for dialogue, deals, and grassroots innovation, with JayantChaudhary, Minister of State (I/C), MSDE and MoE, highlighting the role of young entrepreneurs in solving real community problems.

The event featured the grand finale of the Futurepreneurs Challenge, where 10 top student-led startups showcased breakthrough solutions. Chitkara University, Chandigarh, won the top prize for Stick Buddy, a smart assistive device for the visually impaired. Tula’s Institute, Dehradun, secured second with Pragati, an AI-powered nurse robot, while Vignan Pharmacy College, Andhra Pradesh, took third for Magna Pads, a menstrual care product with diagnostic features.

Special Jury Awards went to Government Polytechnic Deoria for Vayuputra, an AI drone for farming, and Rajalakshmi College of Engineering for Jeevitham, a child healthcare platform. In a fireside chat hosted by TiE Global, Chaudhary emphasized, “India’s young entrepreneurs aren’t chasing success for the sake of it—they’re solving real problems rooted in their communities.”

The pavilion, featuring 15 NIESBUD-supported entrepreneurs, showcased skill-led ventures from India’s heartlands, reinforcing MSDE’s vision of an inclusive, future-ready startup ecosystem and solidifying India’s global standing among top-three startup nations.
