Minon Mochahari, a well-known social worker from Udalguri, has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking his entry into active politics. The joining ceremony took place in the presence of BJP State President and Member of Parliament from Darrang-Udalguri, Dilip Saikia. Mochahari, who has dedicated years to social work expressed his enthusiasm for taking on a new role in politics. He said that his decision to join BJP was influenced by the party’s vision, policies, and commitment to development. During the event, Mochahari and his supporters raised slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” and “Jai Hind,” displaying patriotic spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, Mochahari shared his thoughts on his transition from social work to politics. “March 5, 2025, is a special day for me. After working for the people for a long time, I have now officially entered politics. It is an honor to join a strong and visionary party like BJP,” he said. He further said that along with him, more than 7,000 people have also joined the BJP. He described this as a moment of motivation and hope and further added that he is prepared to take up any responsibility entrusted to him by the party leadership.
Mochahari said that he would continue to work for the people’s welfare. He extended his gratitude to the BJP leadership and supporters present at the event. “I seek the blessings of Maa Kamakhya, Bathou, and Jesus so that I can continue working for the progress of the people,” he added.
