Starlink Satellite Communications Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has announced at least four job openings in India, several months after obtaining regulatory approval to launch satellite internet services in the country. According to the SpaceX careers page, the company is seeking applicants for the following positions in Bengaluru within its finance and accounting department:
- Accounting Manager
- Payments Manager
- Senior Treasury Analyst
- Tax Manager (India)
For the Accounting Manager role, SpaceX stated that the position will help ensure compliance with financial reporting obligations as Starlink expands its international operations. The Bengaluru-based manager will be responsible for defining, scaling, and overseeing accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance functions to support the company’s India operations.
All positions will be based in Bengaluru, and the company has emphasized that local candidates will be given preference. However, Starlink clarified that remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for these roles. This move signals the company’s commitment to establishing a strong on-ground presence in India as it prepares to roll out satellite internet services for the country’s large online population.
