Tata Motors accelerates; Lucknow plant rolls out 9,00,000th vehicle

Tata Motors commemorated a monumental milestone with the rollout of its 9,00,000th vehicle from its state-of-the-art Lucknow facility. The ceremony, attended by Mr. Durga Shanker Mishra, Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Government, alongside key Tata Motors dignitaries, spotlighted the company’s prowess in sustainable manufacturing and technological innovation.

Spanning 600 acres, the Lucknow plant epitomizes Tata Motors’ commitment to eco-conscious production, lauded as a water-positive establishment by the Confederation of Indian Industry. Equipped with a 6MW solar power plant, the facility significantly curtails carbon emissions, aligning with Tata Motors’ strategic focus on green mobility solutions.

Since its establishment in 1992, the Lucknow facility has been instrumental in fabricating a comprehensive range of commercial vehicles, including electric and fuel cell electric buses. Mr. Mishra commended Tata Motors for its pivotal role in advancing safer and more sustainable transportation solutions, emphasizing the company’s dedication to gender inclusivity with over 22% of new hires being women.Mr. Vishal Badshah, Vice President and Head of Operations at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, accentuated the plant’s pivotal role in the production of advanced electric buses, noting Uttar Pradesh’s prominence as a key market. Mr. Mahesh Suguru, Plant Head at Lucknow, attributed the milestone to the facility’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
