In a bid to accelerate India’s electric vehicle (EV) revolution, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. (TPEM) has entered into a dynamic partnership with Shell India Markets Private Limited (SIMPL) to revolutionize the country’s EV charging landscape. The collaboration, announced through a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding, signifies a significant step towards enhancing the nation’s EV infrastructure.
Leveraging Shell’s extensive network of fuel stations and TPEM’s unparalleled expertise derived from over 1.4 lakh Tata EVs on Indian roads, the partnership aims to establish strategically located public charging stations across India. These stations will be positioned in areas frequently visited by Tata EV owners, ensuring widespread accessibility and convenience.
Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to drive mainstream EV adoption in India.
