Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, inaugurated its fifth Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF), near Delhi; marking a significant stride in its commitment to advancing sustainable mobility. Named ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect,’ the facility was inaugurated by Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors.
The RVSF, developed in partnership with Johar Motors, is an environmentally friendly facility capable of safely disassembling 18,000 end-of-life vehicles annually, responsibly scrapping passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands. Tata Motors has achieved a significant milestone following its successful RVSFs in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Surat, and Chandigarh, showcasing its commitment to sustainable initiatives.
The Re.Wi.Re. facility is a digitalized facility that offers cell-type and line-type dismantling for commercial and passenger vehicles, with seamless and paperless operations. It has dedicated stations for safe dismantling of components like tires, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids, and gases. The meticulous documentation ensures safe disposal of components and adheres to vehicle scrappage policies, promoting sustainable practices in the automotive industry. Reflecting on the momentous launch,Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, said “It also contributes to the Government’s efforts to promote sustainable automotive practices.
