Tata STRIVE, in collaboration with Airbus India, has launched two skill development centres in Delhi and Bengaluru to provide training in sectors such as IT, electronics, and aviation. The centres aim to upskill over 900 youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds over three years, offering courses like AWS Cloud Computing, Junior Full Stack Developer, and Cyber Security.
Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, inaugurated the centres, stating, “This initiative is a key step toward equipping our youth with future-ready skills aligned with the needs of critical sectors. Tata’s commitment to national priorities and Airbus’ involvement in this effort will create lasting opportunities.”
The training institutes, located in Dwarka and Nagavara, will cater to industry-aligned job roles, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience in sectors like aerospace and defense.In Guwahati, initiatives like this could inspire similar centres, driving local talent growth. With Guwahati emerging as a regional hub, having skilled professionals trained in high-demand sectors can attract more industries, addressing local employment gaps.Key dignitaries at the event included Ms. Sonal Mishra, Joint Secretary, MSDE, and Mr. Remi Maillard, President and MD, Airbus India and South Asia.
