TCS’s 25th Rural IT Quiz drives the future of tech education in India’s remote regions

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the 25th edition of its acclaimed TCS Rural IT Quiz, in collaboration with the Department of Electronics, IT, BT, and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka. As the program enters its silver jubilee year, it continues to be a milestone event in IT education, recognized by the Limca Book of Records as India’s first IT quiz designed specifically for rural students.

The 2024 edition, a highlight of the Bengaluru Tech Summit, invites students from Classes 8 to 12 in smaller towns and districts, excluding city corporation areas. The quiz will encompass online and physical rounds, focusing on technology trends such as AI, cloud computing, and IT’s impact on sectors like banking, education, and entertainment.

With eight regional finals leading to the National Finals in Bengaluru in November, winners will receive substantial prizes, including TCS education scholarships. The 2023 edition saw over 5.5 lakh participants across 28 states and five Union Territories.In Guwahati, the quiz represents a significant opportunity for students to engage with cutting-edge technology and gain recognition. The initiative is poised to enhance IT awareness and educational prospects in the region, aligning with the growing demand for tech-savvy professionals. Students are encouraged to register before October 1, 2024, at TCS Rural IT Quiz Registration.
