The Bamunimaidan jewelry and handicrafts Livelihood Business Incubator was opened

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) launched the Jewellery and Handicrafts Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI) at Bamunimaidan under the ASPIRE Scheme. By giving regional craftspeople access to contemporary tools and training, this project aims to conserve Northeast India’s rich jewelry and handicrafts legacy. Dr. Lalit Sharma, Director of the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, opened the Gemstone Section, and Riniki B. Sharma, Chairperson and Managing Director of Pride East Entertainments Pvt. Ltd., opened the Jewellery Display Center.

Highlighting the region’s rich diversity and skill, the event included an amazing exhibition with traditional Assamese jewelry designs, sustainable bamboo, and clay. The LBI seeks to preserve Northeast India’s cultural heritage while promoting economic prosperity by bridging the gap between traditional craftspeople and contemporary business methods. The Indian government has a ministry called the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises.

It is the highest executive body in charge of creating and enforcing laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in India. Jitan Ram Manjhi is the Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises. It was founded in October 1999 and was first called the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries. The ministry was split into the Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries and the Ministry of Small Scale Industries in September 2001. However, the two ministries were combined into one after the President of India modified the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961 in May 2007.
